The best anti-aging secrets you will ever need to know are in this post. How do I know that they’re the best anti-aging secrets? Because I have personally researched and applied every single one of these tips into my every day life. The anti-aging secrets that I am sharing with you have been a part of my skin’s transformation and everyday maintenance, so it’s safe to say that I swear by every single anti-aging secret! You may have heard me mention a few of these anti-aging secrets before and I probably sound like a broken record at this point but it’s for good reason. Without further delay, here are my proven anti-aging tips that will make a significant difference for you if applied consistently.
Water
I hate to be boring about this anti-aging secret but it’s one of the cheapest and easiest beauty tips out there while also being the most overlooked. Everyone thinks “yea yea, I’ve heard it before” then fail to do anything about it. I, personally, drink a gallon of water a day without fail as I’ve seen what my skin can look like when dehydrated and I look like a shell of my hydrated self. Having hydrated skin can help with your under eye circles, your skin’s elasticity, unevenness and maintain a healthy glow! I recommend challenging yourself weekly. Start with drinking one liter of water per day one week and increase your daily in take each new week. I can promise you that this is one anti-aging secret that you wont regret applying.
SPF (One Of The Most Important Anti-Aging Secrets)
How do I describe this anti-aging secret? Let me put it this way. If you don’t apply this one, don’t bother with anything else. Save your time and money. It’s critical that you protect your skin from the UVA and UVB rays! In fact, some scientists estimate that 80% of aging occurs due to our interactions with sunlight. Preventive measures are always what we’re looking for when it comes to anti-aging. Applying SPF will prevent collagen and elastin loss, the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and of course brown spots. Make sure you are reapplying your SPF every 2 hours whether you’re wearing makeup or not (this is important). I know that a lot of SPF’s are thick and clunky so I’ve gone ahead and listed some SPF brands you can apply over makeup as well.

Anti-Aging Skincare Treatments
These are my favorite anti-aging secrets which are treatment based! Skincare treatments are something that I am very familiar with as I do them regularly from home as well as in an office or clinic setting. There are so many different anti-aging treatments to choose from and they range from lasers to microneedling, led light therapy, peels and more. Anti-Aging Skincare Regimen
This one is a non-negotiable. Every step to an anti-aging skincare regimen has it’s purpose and they’re not to be ignored. It’s a way to reverse, prevent and maintain as long as you’re consistent. Your morning and night time regimen should look different as there are products that you should only use at night and some, only, in the morning. My skincare regimen is as follows; I starting with double cleansing (see post HERE), toner, then I add serums vitamin c (only in the am), retinol (only in the pm, hyaluronic acid, peptides etc.), I moisturize then finish with lip products. A lot of people exclude or forget that your lips also need an anti-aging regimen. See THIS post for my lip care regimen. Perfect skin with dried, cracked and thinned out lips doesn’t match.

Stop Drinking Alcohol (At least limit it)
Remember, what we put in our bodies is just as important as what we’re putting on our bodies. Your skin is your body’s largest organ and alcohol directly ages your organs. I repeat….Alcohol is going to age you faster! Alcohol is dehydrating you as well as depleting your body from vitamins and minerals which are essential for anti-aging. Another main cause of anti-aging is inflammation and alcohol introduces toxicity into your body which results in heaps of inflammation. Did you know that it takes your body 28 days to recover from acute inflammation brought on via alcohol consumption? Did you know that just one alcoholic beverage can create inflammation? That means, if you’re a chronic drinker then you’re never really giving your body a chance. Cut out the alcohol or, at the very least, cut back.
Start Taking Supplements
Taking a supplement just on they’re own isn’t going to make you look 21 over night but they can definitely assist in the anti-aging process. There’s a wide array of different supplements which can be helpful.
Start Sleeping More
This is a huge one for me! I already know that if I didn’t sleep well that my skin is going to appear dry, my skin tone will appear uneven, and my fine lines and wrinkles will be more pronounced. When you sleep your skins blood flow increases and your organs begin to rebuild it’s collagen and can repair UV damage exposure. It can also reduce wrinkles and age spots. Also, your skin is more receptive to skincare products while asleep so rest up!
Meditation
Meditating can reduce stress which in turn can slow down the aging process as stress is a direct cause of aging. I try to meditate for at least 10 minutes a day or do something that calms my mind and helps me to zone out.
Food
Your diet is a direct correlation to your overall health, when you’re fueling your body with the necessary anti-oxidants, essential nutrients and healthy fats it’s going to show in your skin. I try to stick to as many anti-aging foods as I can, being that I am Keto my options are limited so I make sure to get the healthiest foods in where possible. Keto itself is ideal for anti-aging, but I’ll get into that in another post.
The best anti-aging foods that I eat on a regular basis are:
- Avocado ( at least 2 a day)
- Blueberries
- Salmon
- Broccoli
- Spinach
- Nuts
- Seeds (especially hemp and chia)
Exfoliating
Exfoliating is essential when trying to reverse or prevent aging. Exfoliating can stimulate collagen production, fade dark spots, help with discoloration and unclog pores. I exfoliate twice a week alternating between a physical exfoliant and a chemical exfoliant.
