One of the coolest parts about being a blogger and living in Austin is getting invited by PR companies to attend SXSW events. It’s also an excuse for Peter and I to break away from our home offices to attend these events and call it “work”. This event was thrown by New Balance at one of the coolest venues in town, The South Congress Hotel. The party was on the roof top, with an awesome DJ, great food and a special appearance by Raikwon. I would be lying if I told you my inner teenager wasn’t super excited about that.

Knowing the weather would be a perfect 75 degrees meant I could wear my new light weight trench coat. I can’t even tell you how obsessed I am with this new statement piece! I knew I wanted to keep it casual but still fun and dressy so I paired the trench with my new vintage distressed jeans and my favorite booties. I love adding a layering piece to any outfit as that’s what give you that “put together” look.
